Newspaper Spring (Western Justice Adventures) by Jesse Storm

John’s family wagon is besieged by a group of Indians who talk like white men, leaving his parents and sister dead. Wounded, John is found by the Jensen family. Another attack by the same band of Indians on the Jensen family sees John taking up arms to defend his new family – especially the beautiful Helen who has been nursing him back to health.
