WAGON TRAINS and SOILED DOVES into the Vastness by Janis Hoffman
08/11/2022
Mary was orphaned when only 9 months old. Aokii’aki, an old Blackfoot Indian woman, was the only one Christian enough to take her in. They have a little room in the basement of Polly’s Paradise. Nice girls pointed and whispered when she walked by.
I liked the humor…Indians and whorehouses and the characters were developed to make the story fun. Also loved the old pictures. A fun story and fast read.

This was a great book. Definitely not the Hollywood side of the west! That it was a diary found just by chance is even better. I believe I am going to make the vision of "into the vastness" part of my life. Thank you for including the pictures. Definitely recommending this novel to friends
