Alejandro Ashes is the pen name of Alejandro Freixes, the first-generation son of Cuban-American immigrants.

“Freixes” means “ash trees” in Catalan, hence the “ashes” sobriquet.

He loves gaming, geek culture and freedom. He’s also the managing editor of an adult industry media and events company.

He recently debuted Esmeralda & Escarlata, an erotica series which is published episodically on Kindle Vella and then released in special edition volumes on Kindle as ebooks with custom AI-generated and curated artwork at the end of each chapter. Over a decade ago, he published dark fantasy novel Magifamilia, but for now his focus is on the erotica genre. Who knows? One day he may finish the Magifamilia series, or find a way to create a shared universe with Esmeralda & Escarlata. It’s all a bit Lovecraftian in the end, after all.
